I arrived to a small Chilean village as an exchange student when I was only 16-years-old. In order to process the experience I ended up documenting everything with my grandfather's old film camera.
During that year I fell in love which made me move back to Chile for half a decade. For years, documenting my life on a 35mm film felt like keeping a diary.
Regularly I would bring only my film camera with me and take just a handful of photos. This slow and simple process might have been the reason why these photos feel more personal than any other.
